(photo by Mark Klotz). Dog with Keys  The Dog with Keys is a nod to the POTC ride.  It's also a nod to Benjamin, who we joke is our pet dog.  And it is a nod to Eva and Louis, Megan, and their family.  It was created by Diane.
DSC 3972  The Dog with Keys at night. Eva  The Dog with Keys is modeled after Louis and Megan's dog Eva. pirate cat daytime  The Pirate Cat is a nod to Emma, who we joke is our pet cat.  It is also a nod to Miko, JC, and Lila.  It was created by Diane. Miko  The Pirate Cat is modeled after JC's and Lila's cat Miko. samuel c snarbis  Samuel C. Snarbis, our pet parrot.  He is named after a character invented by Rodney, and on which our family nickname is based.
Ghost Pirate LeChuck  The ghost pirate LeChuck, one of our kids' favorite items because he lights up and makes noise.  Benjamin named him LeChuck after we got into the game Monkey Island. LeChucks tombstone  Doesn't our LeChuck look like the real LeChuck?  And yes that is his tombstone.  He is a ghost/zombie/demon pirate after all, so he has risen from his grave. LeChuck nametag  Just so you know his name. 71C8575  LeChuck greets all the trick-or-treaters at the inn (photo by Mark Klotz). Jolly Roger Banner  The Jolly Roger banner on the outside of the inn.  This was created by Chandra using some of Rodney's old torn pants.  She has done a lot of sewing jobs for me over the years so it was only fitting that she do at least one for this project, although in the end it required very little sewing!
Pirate Postcard Banner  The Pirate Postcard banner inside the inn.  This was created by Therese, Gervais, and their friends.  They made these postcards during a "creativity" weekend, and Therese surprised me by sending them to me each individually in the mail. little buccaneers  The little buccaneers photo display.  This is a nod to our love of kids and families, Julie's love of family portrait photography, and to all the people who sent in adorable pirate pics of their kids and pets!  It is also a nod to the Tintin comics, whose inside covers include a collection of framed pictures of the various characters in the stories. little buccaneers and legends  On the right you can catch a glimpse of the photos of some of the characters of our backstory, The Legend of Boozabuzza Island. little buccaneers sign  Little Buccaneers Be Welcome Here sign, created by Julie. liege black background  One of our little buccaneers.

Snarbis Inn sign in progress  The Snarrrbis Inn sign was  made by cutting an old commercial tombstone to look more sign-like and painting it with acrylic paints... Julie working on the inn sign  ... then details were added, based on images found online, with acrylic paints and permanent marker.
